The end of 2020 this band was going to disband, the final concert was already planned and then Covid hit, and the concert got puuhed back until 2022. In the meantime they decided to go back into the studio and record 1 last EP, fittingly named "Fare Well". I have written about this one on the blog as well, I really like it!
In an interview with Kink FM it became clear that some of the band members where not so sure if they wanted to quite, the drummer was like, maybe this is not the end? When I saw the change in profile picture on the Call It Off Facebook page it became clear that they were here to stay. There were some changes in the band members, but who cares, they are back and I could not be happier. Call It Off's music is just so great, and live it is just one heck of a punk party. So it sometimes happens when I find a good band, and they quite that I never got to see them play live, think of bands like John Coffee, Taymir, GEM, the first fortunately also decided it was time for a comeback so I got to see them for the first time this year at Jera On Air.
Anyways back to this weeks song of the week, Call It Off, released their first new single in March. which was called "letting go", which like all their work is awesome. Mid may there was a new song, together with the band Broadway Calls, which is an unknown band to me. Time to introduce this band to you, so what I have gathered from the internet is that Broadway Calls is an American pop punk band out of Rainier, Oregon. I have listened because I was intrigued, and you could call them the US counter part to Call It Off. I think that the vocals of both bands fit very nicely together. I like seeing bands joining for a song or two. It is refreshing and for both bands also a good way to get introduced to a new audience.
So this week's song of the week is Call It Off ft Broadway Calls - I'm Done. Enjoy and let me know in the comments if you like this one.
