Week 45 already, what happend to the rest of the year? What will this week, from the 7th until the 13th of Novermber have in store for us music wise. Honestly, not so much. I found three concerts for you so lets get cracking.
Monday 7 November 2022: The Pretty Reckless - 013, Tilburg
013 is know to have the best programming of all Dutch venues, they just do not dissapoint. What is dissapointing is that they are so far away from where I live. It is a 2 hour drive for me, not something you do on weekdays. And so this concert will pass me by unfortunately, luckily I have seen them live at Lowland 2017. The picture above is from that show,. The Pretty Reckless, let by Taylor Momsen is one of my favorite bands. I like her voice and who doesn't love a powerhouse of a women leading a rock band? The band has been around for a while, their biggest hit dating from 2010 being "Make Me Want To Die". I am glad to see that I am not the only one that has not forgotten this band, as this show is sold out.
Thursday 10 November 2022: Rag 'n' Bone Man - Afas Live, Amsterdam
May I call myself divers? Yes, yes I can, all though I think my most love genre is indie rock I do like singer songwriters, country, blues and pop as well. Rag 'n' Bone Man is best know for his hit "Human". This is still one of my favorite song, even though it has been played endlessly on the radio. Another of my favorites is "Bitter End, which came from the same album as Human. What makes the Rag 'n' Bone Man special, you might ask. To me it is his incredible voice, every girl is hanging from his lips don't they? PS. there are still tickets available, so if you want to swoon you can still buy a ticket.
Zondag 13-11-2022: James Bay - 013, Tilburg
Do you remember the summer of 2015 when suddenly "Let It Go" was at the top of the charts world wide? That summer it was played dead on the radio, and you just couldn't get around it? I remember and did not mind, because I immediately fell in love with this British boy with his beautiful half-length haircut. The hit "Let It Go" was followed by "Hold Back The River" and after that it became quiet, in 2018 he released a second album, Electric Lights, which did not make it into the Dutch top 40 chart. In July this year, James Bay released a new album called "Leap", which again did not lead to as big a hit as Let It Go was. I am curious what all of you think about the new album, I have listened to it, but it has not yet left a big impression.
The 013 show is not yet sold out, so feel free to click on the link above and find your ticket. Would you rather not go to the south of the country? He will also perform in TivoliVredenburg on Monday 14 November. Unfortunately you will have to go to Ticketswap if you want to get another ticket because this show is sold out.
That's it again for this week, where are you going this week? Leave me a message!
