Red, white, and black are the colours of Oh Hazar's new single Justice

Oh Hazar - Justice - Finding Flight Cases

It's been a while since I've been here, it's high time to share some new music with you. Oh Hazar is not a newcomer here on this blog, the band debuted last year and has been touring the entire year.

In January this year the debut EP was released, called Clair Obscure which is only available in hardcopy and not on streaming services. Justice is the fourth single from this debut EP. For those who don't visit this blog regularly and therefore haven't heard of Oh Hazar before, here's a short band introduction.

The band consists of Imke Loeffen (vocals & guitar), Stefan Kollee (guitar & vocals), and Imanishi Kleinmeulman (drummer). The individual careers of these three artists show that this band consists of seasoned artists. For example, Imke had previous success with Bootleg Betty, Stefan is also the frontman of The Naked Sweat Drips with whom he released 2 albums and Imanishi played drums at The Grand East. A very talented trio, you can hear that in their music. Live and in the studio, the band is supported by Pauline Timmerbeil, and Judith Renkema on bass.

It's been a while since there was news from Oh Hazar, Justice came as a nice surprise. This video is in the same vein as the other videos, with minimal colors, and lots of contrasts, it suits a band that navigates in contrasts. In Justice, this is the contrast and tension between power and powerlessness. Or as frontwoman Imke Verhoeven puts it: "The moment when the blame has to be divided and it threatens to end up with those who don't deserve it."

I'm curious what you think of this new single, watch the video below or add it to your favorites on Spotify. Leave a comment if you want to share your opinion.

PS I think that hat is fantastic, gives it such a cool vibe!
